The first collection of Greenleaf’s essays and speeches to be published as a book was Servant Leadership: A Journey into the Nature of Legitimate Power and Greatness, published by Paulist Press in 1977. A 25th Anniversary Edition of the book was published by Paulist Press in 2002, with a foreward by stephen R. Covey and an afterword by Peter Senge.
Two collections of Greenleaf’s private writings were published in 1996 by John Wiley & Sons: On Becoming a Servant Leader; and Seeker and Servant: Reflections on Religious Leadership.
Two additional collections of Greenleaf’ essays are The Power of Servant Leadership, published by Berrett-Koehler in 1998, and The Servant-Leader Within: A Transformative Path, published by Paulist press in 2003.
